Although last year was not a year anyone would like to emphasize, here are a few brief highlights from the past year or so...

Adam Zeitlin recently worked with the Chicago Cubs to edit the documentary: The Sandberg Game. A Cub-Cardinal match-up is always an event, but this nationally televised Game of the Week on June 23, 1984 was truly unique. Bob Costas had the call as emerging Cubs star Ryne Sandberg went 5 for 6 on the day. Sandberg hit two late-inning homeruns off top closer Bruce Sutter to push the Cubs to a dramatic 12-11 victory. Check out this short sample of the documentary. And no, the Cubs have not asked Adam to help out in the bullpen.

Adam had the good fortune to work for the Chicago Auto Show for the first time. He was able to cut many videos posted to their various social media channels. This was the last large event Adam attended before the pandemic. Many of the live sports events he works for ESPN were canceled including the Little League World Series and Women's College World Series. Adam hopes to be back to these and other events when it is safe.

One event that wasn't canceled was the US Open in New York. Once again, Adam traveled to Queens to work in the feature unit for ESPN. In addition to the pandemic, this year saw tremendous challenges in regards to systemic racial inequities. Many professional sports postponed games in response to the Jacob Blake shooting. This video gives context to that week from the perspective of some of the athletes at the US Open.

In addition to his broadcast work, Adam partners with corporations, non-profits, production and post house clients to edit many varieties of marketing, message, and training videos. One such example is this recent video for Arrow Electronics. Former IndyCar racer Sam Schmidt (now a quadriplegic) can drive this modified Corvette using only the motion of his head. It's pretty amazing.

Finally, Adam had the good fortune to work again for CBS on Super Bowl 55. Normally Adam would travel to site for the edit. But these days are anything but normal. For the first time, most of the CBS edit team worked remotely in the days leading up to SB 55. Adam perfected his zoom game so that the sponsorship elements looked and sounded great. Other projects Adam has edited for CBS include the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest and many NCAA Men's Final Fours.
